Michael Crichton is the author of The Andromeda Strain, Congo, Jurassic Park, Rising Sun, The Terminal Man, The Lost World, Airframe and Timeline. He is the winner of an Edgar Award (1980; The Great Train Robbery) as well as an Emmy, a Peabody, and a Writer's Guild of America Award for the television series ER.
John Michael Crichton (born October 23, 1942, pronounced /kraiten/ is an American author, film producer, film director, and television producer. His best-known works are techno-thriller novels, films and television programs.
This genre is usually based on the action genre, but with technology heavily featured. Many of his future history novels have medical or scientific underpinnings, reflecting his medical training and science background.Awards
